Access Platforms & Cradles

Purpose built access platforms, in high strength aluminium, can be manufactured to client specification. Platforms and cradles can be either powered or manual and innovative new systems can be designed to provide access to any manner of building or construction.

Specialist commissions include the complete refurbishment of the window cleaning apparatus for the Health and Safety Executive's Head Quarters, in central London.

This new motor powered system, designed to replace the existing manual window cleaning access system, facilitates the complete cleaning and general maintenance of all 10 floors of glazing and brickwork.

Clow Group's design incorporated a new specially designed cantilevered cradle for use on the front elevation, thus giving access to the undercuts and recessed parts of the front facade.

In addition to this, two existing cradles were overhauled and refurbished. These were then used as a dedicated gantry on the rear elevation.
